Maisons de Qualité is a not-for-profit body run according to the loi 1901 law, founded in 1993 on the initiative of family and consumer groups. The Association Maisons de Qualité contains equal numbers of individuals representing consumers’ interests and the interests of the construction industry.

Based on a stringent Quality Charter, the Maisons de Qualité organization selects its construction firm members after 6 audits carried out by qualified experts. The organization decides whether or not to award the Maisons de Qualité quality label to the businesses in question and performs regular annual audits to monitor the situation.
